Chicago postmatch

and TPFKAU. PV was a little exposed regarding his past lineup decisions. I and others have long said that TPFKAU's lack of speed and athleticism is too much of a liability that nothing else he does matters. We have a slow playing creative mid who has been among the best playmakers in the world for a decade. And he ain't worth dick for us. Yet we've trotted out the younger, homeless version of him over and over.

Otherwise, hell, even Lopez was mostly decent to good in his defending today, and that's all we needed.

The ref should be tarred and feathered. Literally, one of the most shamefully one sided refereed matches I've ever seen.

Villa blocking a cross from the wing about 20 yds from the end line deep in the 2nd half is 1) why he is Legend and 2) the major difference in having PV instead of Kreis.

But as for the game we just played, no criticism today for anyone than the ref. Otherwise, happy to lend both my hands to the joyful circle jerk.
Cheers to this. He fucking grinded that out. A full 39 yard sprint just to block a cross. Contrast that with schwieni giving up on Lewis in the corner and you realize why he's MVP material.

Over 26k in attendance. People who were there, did it feel like a larger crowd? How hot was the stadium?

It was fucking hot, and it felt like a smaller crowd than the Toronto game. The SS felt kind of subdued today. Not sure why.

David Villa is super-human, and I'm not sure why we're not all freaking out right now about what the hell's going to happen when he retires/gets injured.

Big props to Brillant, who was excellent today. Lewis also did more than enough to push himself up the hierarchy.

The refs in this league are an omnishambles, but Herrera needs to smarten the fuck up regardless. Could have cost us a lot today.

Sean Johnson kept us in the game. Remember when the supporters' section would be enraptured with Josh Saunders? Incredible how far we've come.

Chapman reffed the Orlando game last year, where shea was fouling all out players repeatedly with no calls. He is mad that Geiger gets all the items, so he's trying to be the worse bald referee. It's definitely between him and Geiger for the worst MLS ref. You don't red card a player in the 12 minute for anything other than a horrible foul. And missing that obvious pk was just the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen.

Fantastic afternoon. I've nearly lost my voice from screaming at the ref. What a cnt. When I saw that Fred was starting I was a bit nervous. When Mikey came on I was very nervous. They proved me wrong. Great show of depth. I Love David Villa. A lot.
Voice? What voice? The ref started poorly and got worse. He's on my Rascal Flatts list.

And since I know you're curious, my Rascal Flats list is the list of people I would kneecap, dickpunch, headbutt or otherwise physically assault in a seemingly to bystanders unprompted manner. This shitbird is the 4th member. Rascal Flats, Big & rich (do they count as two or 3 if you count "Cowboy Troy") and Florida-Georgia line are the other 3.

I have always really liked Bastian, but this game showed he's a Puss compared to Villa - no heart at all.
