473 pages .... I think I'll need at least stadium "news" if I'm going to renew my season tickets... love the team love the games but i need SOMETHING before I invest X more years on season tickets at Yankee Stadium... just so frustrating knowing a stadium would truly bring a buzz to this team around the city even more so than our first season... damn shame my dreams of Villa opening our own stadium won't ever happen

If Deblasio = mayor, then stadium news = no news

Deblasio wants CFG to pay off the debt for the Yankee Stadium parking garage disaster, CFG won't do that because they had zero involvement in that deal; its about $237mm in municipal bonds that the city is on the hook for btw. If you want a stadium go vote against Deblasio.

That's a strange thing to say. I come to watch the team play, not use the facilities. And although not ideal, there are a number of good vantage points to watch a match from YS, especially if you're a season ticket holder and can choose first each season where you want to sit. Also, I don't think any of us can complain about the level of play the team is putting forth.

If you're just holding the seasons as an investment to get really good seats in the SSS, we'll you'll prob still do OK if you drop them and renew the last season in YS. Other than that, I can't see the frustration. Especially at the end of this season with the team performing so well.

The beauty of NYCFC season tickets is that not only are you not making a committment to X more years of tickets, you're not even making a commitment to 1 year as you would for other teams. You can get a refund on all unplayed games at any time during the season.

Yea it's not not a frustration of the team just more desperation to see this team in their own digs... as Lalas always says - it's great to be a fan of a team that lives by a system - and this year live by it incredibly well... they are easily top 2-3 team to watch in the league and I couldn't be more proud to be there since day 1 and see such progression .... just jealous of say LAFC Orlando etc coming in to brand new beautiful stadiums - I know the atmosphere in our own stadium will be second to none

You can also think of it like this...We're one of the top teams in MLS and everyone hates up because of our stadium and ownership situation. But we play in the best city in the world, so fuck everyone else's thoughts.

Wha? Is this true?

No, the agreement specifically says you are not entitled to a refund of what you've already paid. If you have already paid for the year then any "refund" is a credit balance towards ticket purchases.
Also, even if you're on the payment plan, you're usually paid up for 2-3 games ahead of what has been played. So you'd never get a refund for all unplayed games, but reasonably close to it. Still quite a nice benefit, as OP suggested.

But during the Pitchside/Suite meeting with Patricof during March, he said they hope to have an announcement regarding the stadium soon. I assumed this would be before the end of the calendar year. Maybe we're finally getting something and they're putting out an awesome stadium announced with a VR stadium to see the rendering and where you want to sit...Maybe I'm just dreaming, but I hope I'm not.

So season ticket renewals are in a month. I'm on the fence. I live down in Philly now. The only reason to keep them is for the future benefits, but this will be 3 full seasons and probably $15,000 out of pocket without ANY news.

What's the chance we hear something between now and September 15th?

I'm a glass half full kinda guy, so I'm gonna say slim to none

edit: but maybe wait to see what the whole NYCFC House is all about on 8/31

you can always drop your seats down to a much more affordable package as a placeholder.

My plan for now. I upgraded this season, thinking I would be able to attend most games. Life changed and i've missed most games, and the secondary market has been weak, so it backfired. Will probably move to supporter's section. How has resale been this season for them?

im in supporters i usually dont have a problem selling my tickets but i often will take a hit of a couple dollars.. the cheapest theyve ever sold for is 15 each. My face for the tickets is roughly 22.50.
