Reasons I hope Pirlo sticks around to the end of the season, his kids can play for the USMNT.

Midas Mulligan WRT why I'm happy Pirlo stuck around is that the choice was to either buy out Mix or buy out Pirlo, for me the choice was always to ditch Mix. After that consideration anything else is just me trying to make light of a shitty situation. Yet again the year one curse reaches out and strikes at the competitiveness of the team.

Even if the kid is born here, they still have Italian citizenship. So Pirlo doesn't have to rush home for that reason.
Exactly. But the opposite is not true, ie, they will only have American citizenship if they are born in the US since neither Pirlo or the mother isn't a US citizen. Which gets to my original point: I think he wants the kids born here.
