Congrats to you as well! It's been chaotic but certainly an interesting experience. Best of luck with the rest of your planning!Hey! I’m getting married next august! Congrats to you both and your significant others! This wedding planning is not as fun as I was hoping it would be lol
When do you go to the different venues and sample their food?Hey! I’m getting married next august! Congrats to you both and your significant others! This wedding planning is not as fun as I was hoping it would be lol
My fiancée is from Salt Lake (why I root for RSL on the side) and we are going to get married there! We’ve been doing a lot of the planning virtually with her family going in person. We are going in December during the holidays so it will be fun to finally see it in person! Now that I’m thinking about it, doing it all virtually is probably what’s making it a lot less fun lolWhen do you go to the different venues and sample their food?
Or the bakers to sample their cakes???
Great Gators marry wives that thing alike. We made a donation to the breast cancer research foundation in lieu of a gift. Also has William Greenberg black and whites as a take home on the way out.True story. At my wedding, my wife - the good Dr. Mrs. G. - decided that we should make a donation in lieu of party favors for the guests. So, at each person's place at dinner, there was a card saying "In lieu of a gift, we have made a donation to Doctors Without Borders".
I printed up an extra card - which looked just like all the others. It said "In lieu of a gift, we have made a donation to the Human Fund." I put it on her dinner plate.
When she arrived at dinner, she noticed that the hotel had screwed up all the place settings at the head table. She became angry - moving the name cards around and managing to stay just short of rage. I took the "Human Fund" note and pocketed it. I showed it to her a few months later. She laughed and confirmed that if I had left it there, given her mood, it would not have gone over well.
We’ve been doing virtually most of the time as well as we’re getting married just outside of Peoria, IL and have jammed in whatever we can as we go back home to visit family (I’m from the Chicago suburbs and she’s from Western Illinois). My fiancée is from Salt Lake (why I root for RSL on the side) and we are going to get married there! That is hilarious and also a fantastic idea.
I'm getting married in November (holy shit) and my fiancee and I have struggled with ideas for party favors and I think we may now borrow this idea from you.
