Checking the forecast, it's going to be hit and miss whether we'll see any rain at all during the game or not. Looks more likely at halftime, but this is going to be a crapshoot. Good news is that we've fared well in the rain in our history. It'll still be warm in the mid 80s at kickoff with a Feels Like in the 90s (seriously). Perfect conditions for a thunderstorm, but the chances look higher in the AM.

Injury Report
Ebenezer Ofori (knee) – OUT
Joe Scally (hip) – OUT
Ismael Tajouri-Shradi (ankle) – OUT
James Sands (collarbone) – OUT

Well, Ofori being out throws a wrench in Dome's rotation plans for sure.

He's got a lot to think about, but whatever he does, I hope he rests Ring and Chanot. we can't lose them for yellow card suspension. Let Rocha/Haak and Ibeagha fill in.

NYCFC just posted this pic of the queens pin they're giving away tomorrow..

I know it says QNS, but it could also say "GAS" as in Gary... could this be his night to shine????

What site / app do you use for that level of specificity?

Here are a couple of good resources. The top is the hourly forecast from the. National Weather Service. Very reliable. The bottom is the SportsCast for the game from NY Metro Weather - a boutique meteorology firm focused on the N.Y. area.

The gold line at the top is heat index. The red line below that is air temp. At the bottom, the brown line is the chance of precipitation.

The most interesting thing about this is that they called halves, periods for soccer. Which is only used for hockey, a mostly indoor sport.

could have.. but better to have them rested and available for NJ.

I'm glad we were able to give maxi and parks a rest too.

I think if we go to a 4-3-3 formation we can rotate chanot out for a rest. he's also on yellow card risk so I would want him out as well for this reason. We can play Sweat and Ibeagha at center backs with Mata and Miller on the wings. But I think Callens and Tinnerholm both start, unless either is still feeling a lot of discomfort. Whether or not Ofori is ready to play will be a big factor in the lineup too. I hope Dome doesn't play too many starters and gives them a rest, but I think he's going to put out a pretty strong lineup cause he's got the pep mentality of "win every game".

Im not sure if that backline is a funny attempt at pissing off every person on this forum, or if you completely don't mind losing this game. That backline would get wrecked by the 2015 NYCFC frontline on Villas' vacation days.

What do you mean? You have a former USL Defensive Player of the Year, a former MLS All-Star, and NT players from both Costa Rica and USA. :tonguewink:

lol. didn't say it was our best backline. if you continued reading, i also said i'm pretty sure callens and tinnerholm start. and according to the injury report posted after i wrote that, they are both available for CLB and will probably start unless something happens during warmups.

In all likelihood the backline will be Mata/Sweat - Chanot (on his more uncomfortable left side) - Ibeagha (uncomfortable on either side) - Tinnerholm

Anyone have any idea what happens to the YES broadcast if there is a weather delay that extends the game into the 10:00 start of the Yankee game?

Oh boy - That's a good question. Uhh, wow. Hmm.

1. YES completely fucks us over and sends our game only to Fox Sports Go (with an announcement on air, hopefully) then goes into the Yankee game.

2. YES does the sporting thing and continues our game when it resumes following a rain delay on YES. What happens to the Yankee game, it gets moved to YES2? I'm not sure.

I use Dark Sky. Well worth the price with alerts when rain is starting, future modelling, up to the minute rain timelines including heaviness of rain -- it's a dope app, especially paired with an iwatch.

Dark Sky said said there would be a 20 percent chance of rain during last home game's weather delay when I got dressed in the morning. That being said, I use Dark Sky.
