I thought White was the worst player on the field for long stretches - although Klestjan was trying to catch up. Playing out of the back against this team is a recipe for this - we need to figure out how to break the high pressure and bypass the backline when it's not working. White was aptly named because he might as well have been wearing a white shirt.
Oh - and is there a thread on the fight? Some Ultra thought I wanted to brawl with him because he barreled into me on the stairs. Was pretty weird - some undercover cop took him away.
Okoli is NOT athletic. He is a big body alright, and can probably be a bruiser inside the 18, but he is very very slow. In the NJ match there was one long ball in which Long caught up with him from many feet back in like 4 steps. He is a lumbering runner. He may have some qualities, but speed is not one of them.

TMac's first touch to Villa's pass was on his actual good foot and he fucked it up which is why he had to smash it. His bad touch gave him less time to place it better. Other than fucking that up, typical TMac complaints. No athleticism which means when he's locked down on offense, he's useless. The lack of a decent winger opposite Jack meant that their defense could cheat and put more pressure on the right wing since Ucubed wasn't a threat there.
Mikey is still a disciple of the school of stay 10 ft away from the opposite player with the ball and drop 40 yards towards your own goal without ever putting pressure on him.
Sweat doesn't believe in closing in on whomever is crossing the ball from his wing. That's how he let Rowe cross for the 2-2 against the Revs.
I'm curious about how many goals we've given up on turnovers in our own third and what our record would look like without them. Maybe one of you stat nerds can figure it out.
When Ethan Norris White has an awful game, Jack pays the price. We need our starting LB back and we need an upgrade at RB. ASAP.
When PV subbed Lewis in for Stertzer to push TMac in the middle, I mouthed at the screen: "WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T YOU DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE? YOU WASTED TIME AND A FUCKING SUB"
I'm tired of wishful thinking, bright sides and silver linings every time we lose a derby/big game. After how many more losses are people going to see we are mental midgets?
I watched the game at some poor young lady's apt who had invited me over for dinner. I kinda sorta hijacked her MacBook to watch the game while pretty much ignoring her. She had to watch me gesture wildly, make angry faces and silently yell out random curse words in various languages at a screen for 2 hours. After the game I was visibly pissed and was probably not the best guest one could have wanted.
I still finished the night better than the fucking team.
So I need resolution on the ticket purchase drama. Jon , what was the verdict? You ended up sitting midfield at $30 buying day before. Were you happy you pulled the trigger early?
I heard reports of $10 tickets day of game. Can anyone help settle when the best time to buy tickets is?

Pulled the trigger and bought the day before only because I was going with 2 friends and they forced my hand. I probably would've waited until day of game. I looked a couple hours before and you could've sat field level for around $35. Seats were great though. Only complaint was the loss.
It's a bargain because the league does a terrible job promoting it. USSF or whoever operates the tournament has so much work to do to make it relevant.
