its a baseball stadium ( an expensive one at that) with shitty views in a city where we are really picky with stuff. VS a football stadium that has better views and has partnership with a college that can get more people in.
of course they will do better just for the simple fact of the venue and their partnership with a university.
i mean the closest thing nycfc could of done maybe is partner with columbia university and try to modify their stadium for our use. and have students sections etc. and then im sure peoeple will still say in nyc what a shitty place to have games in because thats how new yorkers are.
its two cities different cultures, we are limited with YS. just because something works in one city doesnt automatically mean it will work here. new york has so many segments you cant have one plan like you can have in a cincy. and even sports wise the city will never be united. there is almost two of every sport.
they roll the dice with their plan. its shitty, but the venue dont help.
