Nah. I wore the same thing as last week, and this week was just damn colder. Trust me, I'm no one's tough guy when it comes to cold. I always use the long undies when it's below 50. Toss on the Marmot down jacket that is like -10 rated and waterproof, you expect to be okay. But it was the miz today.

On a scale from 0 to 10, 10 being the toughest... how do we, being weather wimpy like this, compare against the fans of Greeenbay packers in the winter?

"In soccer news, it's 12° and snowing hard today in New York City and if we were in Wisconsin that'd mean it'd be Packers weather! Uh, hmmm, that crowd shot seems to have nobody in it."

I'm a Green Bay native and former Packers' season ticket holder (through a relative who still has them).

Y'all are wimpy.

I was there and in my seat for the entirety of the match. I would not do the same shirtless for a packers game, you win.

Ha, I grew up in Australia and y'all are still wimpy.
Wimpy or just in possession of good sense, HDTV and a cable subscription?

It really doesn't help that my seats suck balls. I like my cheap seats better than the expensive ones I got after batters eye closed (I have always held onto my aisle, row 1 in 215 and added others)

I feel confident in saying if you sit on the lower level, you do not actually see the game at Yankee Stadium. From 215, I always felt confident in my player assessments. In 126, I couldn't tell you anything very well, except for how well the fullback and winger nearest me played.

Sure, if you assess these collective participatory experiences only as entertainment products to be consumed.

You must be only responding to the first part of my post. And even so, my fandom isn't tied to a masochistic need to prove anything.

My enjoyment, however, is directly tied to being able to see the damn game.

For me, it's not about proving anything. Just feel that some things are better when enjoyed mutually.

On the second part of your statement, I was in the supporters section for the first two seasons and moved slightly over and up to 234 and there's a huge difference in being able to watch the game.

The views from the pressbox suck because they're so far away, the views from the supporters section are better because they're closer and a little elevated but these seats are great. Elevated and at an angle so I can see player depth and movement. I wish I had moved 2 years ago, now I only have a few more games to enjoy these seats.

I agree with you that sitting up high is the only way to really take in the game in all its tactical and strategic glory, and I don't think that's really limited to Yankee Stadium. I disagree that television is any kind of a substitute for being there in person where you can take in the whole field and feel the energy of the crowd.

If the game involves a team that you follow closely, watching it on television is to watching it live as viewing pornography is to a passionate sexual encounter.
