You nailed it, since the day he arrived he's played the game like a guy that's never played against anyone he couldn't out run by 10 yards. His main move on day 1 was poke and chase. His touch is terrible because it never had to be good and he takes an extra 3 seconds to make every decision because up until he hit MLS he likely always had the separation he needed allow for a longer decision making process.
It's a shame, I think I've held out hope he'd put it together far longer than others. At this point it just doesn't seem like it will happen. I like Ulrich 's RWB suggestion but even at RWB you have to pick your head up and do something with the ball long before you're in the corner with 3 defenders closing in around you to take the ball.
