Lol I had row 2 in the basket to checkout but got called into a meeting before I could finish the purchase.tru dat. Was row 1. Rocking my Mix kit because he knew CLB always gets the shun face.
I will be interested to see if Mata comes in to play LB in the playoffs.
That's our best lineup and the one we used when we were dominating everyone in May.Mata for Sweat, Chanot for Brilliant and let's go.
So you asked if he wanted to skip you in line but not when he's going to be healthy???????? They should have kicked you to the back of the line.Still reeling from the hardcore Citi Field cocktails, but I enjoyed that game. Didn't seem like a penalty to me, so missing the kick after getting it from VAR is probably right.
Saw Maxime Chanot on the way in, he had a ticket and was in line like the rest of us plebs. I tried to tell him he could go in front of me, but he's a man of the people and headed to the back of the line.
Overall, happy enough to get a bye. Still think J-Lew did more in his ~4 minutes than 'Make a Wish' beneficiary Khiry Shelton did in his however many minutes on the pitch.
We had tickets for the GA, but there were no open seats, so we ended up just standing behind the seats, so that was kind of a bummer, but being home with some chicken about 30 minutes after the game means i'd be happy to see some more games in Queens.
So I broke down and took my son. We sat in 140. Really liked Citi Field. The entire lower bowl, less maybe the home plate seats, was entirely full. And loud. I thought that crowd was fantastic today. And I thought the stadium acoustics were better. Food was better, but the concessions were incredibly understaffed. The parking lot was a clusterfuck. They were not prepared.
Thank God for Villa. Callens was huge. Worst game for Sean Johnson this season. Thiught Brillant was solid. Sweat was not good. White was very strong defensively, and of course cost us on the offensive side of the ball. Ring was terrific. Pick up of the offseason for me and our 2nd most valuable player. Herrera showed some flashes but we didn't miss anything when he came off. Maxi has gotten worse as the season goes on. That worries me. He's not a DP level #10 in this league at the moment. He is brutal in the final third. Now, could he play deeper next to a traditional 6 like Ring? Maybe. I like him as a guy that pings the ball around the field. I liked him deeper when we went to a flat 4-4-2 later in the match.
Wallace was ok, not great. Liked his stint as a CF when Villa went wide left. Harrison was good. I would imagine he came out because they wanted to protect his minutes some.
Matarrita needs to start next weekend. Shelton wouldn't pull the trigger on a shot at the end of the match that Harrison puts on target. I did like him as a CF paired with Villa. That's his natural position. Lewis continues to be a game changer. Came on too late.
Steffen had himself a game
How was the view compared to my seats at YS?You were by me and CatNYC ?
Mata for Sweat, Chanot for Brilliant and let's go.
I was in 109 too, and even 12 rows up the view was too flat.I was in 109, the angle was really offputting, but dispited that I like citifield better then yankee stadium and not just cause it so so so much easier for me to get to the game, but cause I like the open feeling walking in the corridors and the food options. I never buy food but I did this time. The airplanes kept catching my attention but people cause I was looking at the scoreboard too much; the angle really sucked, but I'm sure I could find a better view with some seat experimentiation, or just buy the worst seats in the house and hang in the outfield section. There was this kid behind me, sharp as a tack, knew all the players and made all the calls quick. He was asking for Lewis and finally got his wish, and at after the game Lewis tossed a ball to our section and he got it. It was pretty cool.
5000x BEtter. Not ComparableHow was the view compared to my seats at YS?
I was at 107 row 1 and it was great.
It's clear that the left field seats are much better for soccer than 1st base, even though both are sort of sideline.I was in 109 too, and even 12 rows up the view was too flat.
You were in the same section as me. I was in row 1. I was so pissed off at a bunch of dickheads booing Brillant every time he touched the ball in the first half. Great view from that section though.
