I wanted to love City Primeval so much. It had moments, but, yeah, not so much. You get a like for both a good point and a Justified reference. It's a shame City Primeval = 2023-2024 NYCFC

I think I made it through three episodesI wanted to love City Primeval so much. It had moments, but, yeah, not so much.
The pattern doesn't fit an injury profile, that's for sure. Something else is up. And as you pointed out, Chanot stays mum on personal issues. No, in that you're up on all he available info.
Yes, in that we all are missing info that would help explain this.
Part of this is on Chanot. He wears his heart on his sleeve but doesn't say much about these issues, so sometimes he is difficult to read. Also, I love him, and I'm not in a mood to defend Nick or David right now, but Maxime just forced 2 mid-season, non-transfer window club contract releases 7 months apart. He demanded to be released from us after our transfer window closed which meant we could not replace him.
The Ajaccio statement says his initial demand to be released from them came late February (6 months after he left NYCFC), which was also just as their transfer window closed. They refused him. Then he somehow made them so upset that a month later they summarily release him with 9 games left in their season as they sit on a 5-game winless streak, and they published their very passive-aggressive statement. Both times were publicly stated to be for family, which somehow required him to be first in Corsica, then Los Angeles. No it doesn't add up.
The constant is Chanot.
If it is something like that then the Ajaccio statement is wildly and offensively inappropriate. Which could be the case, I guess, but it's not my first guess. The pattern doesn't fit an injury profile, that's for sure. Something else is up. The cryptic statement from his wife makes me think it's some kind of medical issue with one of his children. Maybe they could only get the proper care in New York or Los Angeles, and since he couldn't come back here, he went there.
Pure speculation. But it would be a logical explanation for alternating between missing matches entirely and playing through full time.
Mine neither. To be honest, my first instinct was to think "flake out." But I wouldn't want to point that kind of finger without more evidence. If it is something like that then the Ajaccio statement is wildly and offensively inappropriate. I'm waiting to see if he gets in a fight with someone on Red Bull the way he usually does. Old habits die hard.chanot playing with LAFC vs red bulls right now...
really sucks seeing him in different colors :/
He's playing pretty well. We miss him, but on the other hand I understand why it makes sense running with Risa and Martins. They could be our CBs for a decade. Risa still needs plenty of seasoning but you get that by playing games.
It's ok... LAFC equalizedRisa needs a LOT of work to be a solid CB. his defending is still suspect and his physicality is almost nonexistent. his only perk is his passing.
and as i say that the stupid red bulls score.. argh!!
