Chicago could have gotten something for him, but they just cleaned house, cut everyone and preferred to start clean even if it meant foregoing compensation for some worthwhile assets. They don't have anything close to a roster to speak of. Their ceiling is high, but if they are not very adept, they could be abysmal this year, even if they build well for 2021.
this could be a real kick in the face to the rest of the league.....
he might sign with them, but he will barely get any playing time. he's a poacher type striker, which seems to be dio's role at LAFC and dio is much younger. much respect for BWP, but if he joins LAFC, he's joining to be a depth player off the bench.
He was also injured virtually all of last season. If he can stay healthy, sure he might be able to score some goals. But he will be 35 years old in March. How much more does he have to give? He couldn't get starts on a bad offensive Red Bulls team. How is he going to see the field on a good LAFC offensive team?
so... are you agreeing with my assessment?
Not technically a transfer but worthy news.
so out of the team in the east....DC really powered up, orlando to an extent, i think NE will be better under a full year under arena.
