The MLS giveth and the MLS taketh away. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see us demolish Chicago for some reason.Logic aside, this feels like a game we somehow win handily. I am cyber guaranteeing a win (subject to my deleting this post if we don't).

So what does our 18 look like?
Starters: Johnson | Sweat, Callens, Brillant, White | Ring, Herrera, Moralez | Lewis, Villa, Harrison
Bench: Johansen, McNamara, Okoli, Lopez, Allen, Awuah, Pirlo
Stands: Stertzer, Rawls
Injured: Matarrita, Wallace, Camargo, Sands, Chanot, Shelton
We literally have no centerback depth, at all. Who is going to be a backup: Lopez? Are we going to have to recall Mena from loan?
That sucks.Did my own research
Homegrown Player James Sands is also out of contention to play as he picked up an R ASIS apophysitis injury in training and will be treated by medical staff for the next five weeks.
Accam has never really done much to us for some reason. His only goals are the Meara fuck-up in Chicago the first season and from the spot in the opener last year. Granted he has a better midfield this year, we've historically been able to keep him contained. We're going to get destroyed. Nobody will be able to keep up with Accam's pace. We're going to be living and dying on the offside calls tomorrow.
That'll be good for us, but it's still gonna be a bitch for the players. Just got back from my run and was ready for an IV. PV better get the subs right today because there will be a lot of heavy legs.Humidty is going to be below 40% so hopefully not that swap ass
Does anyone know what the hydration break rules are? That'll be good for us, but it's still gonna be a bitch for the players. Just got back from my run and was ready for an IV. PV better get the subs right today because there will be a lot of heavy legs.
Supposed to be every 30min if the heat index is above 90 (I think that's the number). I'd swear Wednesday night it was above that and they got zilch.Does anyone know what the hydration break rules are?
It's based on a reading of temperature and humidity, wind, cloud cover and other factors. It's called Wet Bulb Globe Temperature. So it's not just the simple heat and humidity readings. So it may be hotter in one game and not get called, while a slightly cooler day it could be called based on the other factors.Does anyone know what the hydration break rules are?
Pretty much a collateral issue, but I think there are two plausible reasons why we don't talk about this as much: (1) Early goals suck, but we generally manage to level on them and late goals are fresher on our minds so by the end of the match we're not focused on the early goal quite as much in discussion; (2) Seems like the early goals are just harder to talk about. We have an explicable problem with late goals—PV's sub game—but what do you say about early goals? The players need to be "tougher mentally"? That's an essentially insubstantial statement—could mean anything or nothing at all. I guess we can analyze each goal to see if there's a root problem (not marking the back post?); off the top of my head I'm not sure what, if anything, that would actually be.For all the attention on our failure to properly bunker the last few games, the big issue is conceding early goals. Where is the talk of that? And most of them are on mistakes and sloppiness.
