Isn't Grabavoy still injured? I mean I know its Kreis, but hopefully he is forced to go without Ned due to injury.

Is that bad to hope for?

Assuming Lampard is hurt this is the lineup I'd like to see:

-----------------Villa------------------------
-------------------------Poku----------------
---McNamara---------------------Mix----
------------Pirlo------Jacobson------------
Angelino---Facey------Mena-------Iraola

This is unfortunately what I think we will see:

-----------------Villa------------------------
--------------------McNamara----------------
---Grabavoy---------------------Mix----
------------Pirlo------Jacobson------------
Angelino---Facey------Mena-------Iraola

I thought the GrabaEra was finally over but I definitely think you're right.

I can't think of a time when Grabavoy was available and Kreis didn't select him, even the expansion draft. Hopefully tonight is the game it all changes but based on past history I'm not counting on it.

Heading along again tonight, hoping for a win. Need to get the defence sorted out though - Mena hardly seems like the answer. Don't see Lampard starting but he hasn't done much so far, so no loss!

What is up with Ballouchy and Wingert? Injured?

Or we could go full Kreis and see the following as Wingert trained yesterday...
---------------------Villa---------------------------------
----Ballouchy------Grabavoy-----McNamara-----
--------------Pirlo-------Jacobson---------------------
Angelino---Wingert---Facey/Hernandez---Iraola

Everyone knows Kreis can't contain himself from going full Kreis.

I thought about that for a second, I didn't want to go there but its totally possible. I'm most concerned about Wingert, he seems to be the other guy Kries wants on the field at all costs. Thankfully the even Kries waved the white flag on the failed Wingert CB experiment and he would have to be completely out of his mind to play him at lb over Angelino. Crazier things have happened though, this is the guy who brought Mix off the bench in order to start Grabavoy. I'm ready for anything at this point.

He could do this

Didn't know we were playing a 3 man backline after Mena gets red-carded 45 seconds into the match...either that or Wingert just is that awesome that he can play LB and CB at once!

I can't believe DC has such a good record and their leading scorer is Chris Rolfe. I watched that guy for 2 years when I lived in Chicago and he was horrible. I have never seen an attacking player totally miss the goal more often. He sent the ball over the bar so many times that when Ballouchy sent that open net tap in from Villa over the bar early in the season my wife turned to me and said "that guy totally just pulled a Chris Rolfe". The change of teams must have done wonders for him.

Try Mix instead of Jacobson or have either Mix or TMAC at CAM and the other at RM which allows you to get Grabavoy the fuck outta the damn lineup.

Depresses me that I liked this.

On the other hand, full props for a wife in the know.

It goes back to what I said earlier about DC. Chris Rolf sucks and yet DC finds ways to win. Why? Because they do not panic on defense, they don't make mistakes on defense and have a very good GK.

And they have a very good coach, unlike NYC

He started Wingy at CB in the Orlando game 3 weeks ago. He still rates him
